Privacy policy
Last updated 14 August 2026
This policy covers northwatt.cy and the details you send us through it. It is written to be read rather than to be survived, and it describes what actually happens rather than everything that might.
1. Who is responsible
NorthWatt Ltd, registration number HE 461488, is the controller of the personal data described here. Our registered address is 51 Aristoteli Kyriakou, Thea Gardens, Ground Floor, G7, Anavargos, 8025 Paphos, Cyprus. It is a registered address rather than an office open to visitors.
For anything in this policy, write to info@northwatt.cy.
2. What we collect
Only what you type into one of the three forms on this site. We do not buy data about you, we do not build a profile, and we do not track you across other websites.
- Offer request: your name, telephone number, email address, postcode, and the answers you give about the property.
- Contact form: your name, telephone number, email address, district, and what you are asking about.
- Support request: your name, email address, telephone number if you give one, the subject, and what you write.
- Our web host records the usual server information, including your IP address, for security and to keep the site running.
3. Why we have it, and on what basis
To answer you. An offer request and a support case are both steps you have asked us to take, so the basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to perform one where there is already an agreement between us.
For a general enquiry that is not yet about a project, and for keeping the site secure and available, the basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us and in running the site safely.
4. Marketing email
We do not send marketing email today and there is nothing on this site to subscribe to. We intend to add one, and this is how it will work when we do.
You would have to ask for it. It will never be a tick box that is already ticked, and never something that comes attached to requesting an offer: the legal basis is your consent, given separately for that purpose alone.
Every message will carry a one-press way out, and unsubscribing will take effect immediately and for good. You can also withdraw at any time by writing to info@northwatt.cy, and withdrawing does not affect anything we sent before you did.
5. Measurement and advertising
We do not measure anything today. The site carries no analytics and no advertising tags, and nothing on it follows you elsewhere.
We intend to add two things: Google Analytics, to see which pages are read and where people give up, and the Meta pixel, to know which advertising leads to an enquiry. Both would place cookies and both would share data with companies outside the European Economic Area.
Neither will run unless you agree to it first, through the banner. The cookie policy names each one and says what it stores before it is switched on, and refusing is one press and costs you nothing on this site: every page works the same either way.
6. Who else sees it
These process data on our behalf, each for one job and none of them for their own purposes:
- Resend, which delivers the email. Messages are sent through Amazon infrastructure in the EU, and Resend itself is a company established in the United States.
- Lovable, which hosts this site and the database the submissions are stored in.
- Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site and filters malicious traffic.
- Our own mailbox is with Microsoft, which is where a submission arrives and where our reply is written.
- Google and Meta, once measurement and advertising are switched on, and only for visitors who have agreed to them.
7. Where it goes
The site and the database are in the European Union, and the mail is sent through infrastructure in the European Union. Some of the companies above are established in the United States or operate globally, so some data may be accessible from outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case it happens under the safeguards those companies provide, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where it applies, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
8. How long we keep it
An enquiry is kept for as long as it takes to answer it and for as long as the conversation it started is live. Deciding on a solar system regularly takes a year or more, and somebody who asked last spring and comes back this autumn should not have to start again.
Where an enquiry becomes a quotation or an installation, the record belongs to that contract and is kept for as long as the guarantee runs and for the period accounting law requires.
We are still fixing the exact periods and will state them here once they are set. If you want your details removed before then, ask us and we will do it.
9. Keeping it safe
Submissions travel over an encrypted connection and are stored in a database that is closed to the public: the key the site is built with cannot read a single row of it, and only our own server can write to it. Access to the mailbox they arrive in is limited to the people who answer them.
No system is perfect. If something happens that puts your data at real risk, we will tell the Commissioner within the time the law allows, and we will tell you where the risk to you is high.
10. What we do not do
We do not make decisions about you automatically, and we do not profile you. A quotation is prepared by a person who has looked at your property.
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will remove it.
11. Your rights
Over the data we hold about you, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of it
- correct it if it is wrong
- delete it
- stop or limit what we do with it
- hand it to you or to somebody else in a machine-readable form
- stop processing it where we are relying on legitimate interest
- withdraw a consent you have given, at any time and as easily as you gave it
12. How to exercise them, and how to complain
Write to info@northwatt.cy. We will answer within one month, and we will tell you if it needs longer and why. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, 15 Kypranoros Street, 1061 Nicosia, Cyprus, or through dataprotection.gov.cy. You can do that without asking us first.
13. Cookies
Cookies and anything else stored on your device are covered separately in the cookie policy, including how to change an answer you have already given.
14. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Where a change affects what we do with data we already hold, we will say so rather than leave it to be noticed.
