How we worked this out

A home using 10,000 kWh a year with panels and one battery, priced from our own figures. Today's electricity price, with no increase assumed. Your roof will give a different number.

These are estimates. The real figures for your home have to be confirmed on site, once we have seen the roof and read a year of your consumption.

Pay yourself instead of the electricity company

Every month you pay for electricity. That money leaves, and it does not come back.

Solar does not add a cost. It moves the one you already have, and once the roof is paid for, you stop paying.

Equipment we can still stand behind in twenty-five years

Your system stays on the roof for twenty-five years. So the question is whether the manufacturer will still be there to honour the warranty, and whether we will still answer the phone. Nothing goes up that is not named in your quote.

  • Manufacturers whose warranties will still mean something in twenty years
  • Exact make and model, before you sign
  • A failed part is our problem, not yours
How we choose our solar systems

Why 9 out of 10 choose a battery

Panels produce during the day; most homes use the most power in the evening. Without a battery that surplus is exported for less than it costs to buy back.

  • Keep the day's power for the evening
  • Buy less back from the grid
  • Use more of what your own roof makes

From first meeting to switch-on

You see the whole route before you commit to anything.

  1. 1

    Get in touch

Leave your details and we call to book a visit at a time that suits you.

  2. 2

    We meet

We look at your roof and your consumption, then design to it. You get a quote.

  3. 3

    We coordinate everything

Paperwork, EAC, installation, inspection. One point of contact throughout.

  4. 4

    Support

The system is yours. One team stays with it for as long as it runs.

Run your air conditioning on sunshine

Cooling is one of the largest electricity costs in Cyprus. A dedicated solar system can run it directly, which is useful when the existing rooftop system cannot be expanded.

  • Made for shops, offices and daytime businesses
  • Works when the existing system cannot grow
  • No new EAC application

Run your pool pump on sunshine

A pool pump runs for hours in exactly the part of the day your panels produce most. A dedicated system cuts that cost without touching your existing one.

  • Leaves your existing system's capacity alone
  • No new EAC application
  • Short payback on a pool in regular use

Questions we get asked first

How long does the whole process take?

It depends on the property and on how quickly approvals come back. We give you an expected timeline in writing with your quote, and we tell you as soon as anything moves.

Do I need a battery straight away?

No. Many sites start with panels only. We plan the system so a battery can be added later without rewiring, and we show you the numbers for both options so you can decide.

Who handles the paperwork and approvals?

We coordinate them. The EAC application and the approvals are prepared and submitted through the appropriate licensed specialists, and NorthWatt is responsible for making sure they progress. You deal with us rather than with each party separately.

What happens after the system is switched on?

You receive the documentation for your system and a named contact at NorthWatt. If something needs attention later, you come back to us and we arrange it with the right specialist.

Who actually carries out the installation?

NorthWatt designs the system, owns the project and stays your point of contact. The installation and the regulated electrical work are carried out by qualified specialists we select and coordinate. You are not asked to manage them.

Will the panels cope with a Cyprus summer?

Heat reduces panel output, so we account for it when we size the system rather than quoting a best-case number. Equipment is chosen for high-temperature performance and for being serviceable on the island.

Powering a business or a farm? Those size differently.
