Ground-mounted photovoltaics at scale

A solar park is a different project from a rooftop system. Land, grid capacity and approvals decide what is possible long before the panel layout does.

How we design it

Site and grid first

Available capacity at the connection point often sets the size of the project, not the size of the land. On an isolated grid that constraint binds sooner than people expect.

Approvals as part of the project

The permitting route for a ground-mounted installation is longer than for a roof, and we plan it into the timeline from the start.

Built to be monitored

At this scale, unnoticed underperformance is the real cost. Monitoring and a maintenance route are designed in.

From first meeting to switch-on

You see the whole route before you commit to anything.

  1. 1

    Get in touch

Leave your details and we call to book a visit at a time that suits you.

  2. 2

    We meet

We look at your roof and your consumption, then design to it. You get a quote.

  3. 3

    We coordinate everything

Paperwork, EAC, installation, inspection. One point of contact throughout.

  4. 4

    Support

The system is yours. One team stays with it for as long as it runs.

How this differs by property

Business
For a business this is usually about either securing long-term supply cost or making use of land that is not doing anything else. The two lead to different designs, so we start by asking which one it is.
Agricultural
Ground space on a farm is often the least contested land there is. The question is what the connection point can take, and how far the cable run is.

Questions we get asked first

How long does the whole process take?

It depends on the property and on how quickly approvals come back. We give you an expected timeline in writing with your quote, and we tell you as soon as anything moves.

Do I need a battery straight away?

No. Many sites start with panels only. We plan the system so a battery can be added later without rewiring, and we show you the numbers for both options so you can decide.

Who handles the paperwork and approvals?

We coordinate them. The EAC application and the approvals are prepared and submitted through the appropriate licensed specialists, and NorthWatt is responsible for making sure they progress. You deal with us rather than with each party separately.

What happens after the system is switched on?

You receive the documentation for your system and a named contact at NorthWatt. If something needs attention later, you come back to us and we arrange it with the right specialist.

Who actually carries out the installation?

NorthWatt designs the system, owns the project and stays your point of contact. The installation and the regulated electrical work are carried out by qualified specialists we select and coordinate. You are not asked to manage them.

Will the panels cope with a Cyprus summer?

Heat reduces panel output, so we account for it when we size the system rather than quoting a best-case number. Equipment is chosen for high-temperature performance and for being serviceable on the island.

Start with your own numbers

Answer a few questions about your electricity use, property and roof. We will use the information to prepare a more relevant first assessment before contacting you.

It takes around two minutes. Nothing is decided until you have reviewed the proposed solution.
